My name is Daniel Birai. I was born in Kenya, Africa in 1986. My parents immigrated to the USA in search of further advancing in their education. We settled at Andrews University, MI. until 6th grade At the age of thirteen, my family returned to Kenya upon my father’s completion of his Masters in Divinity. We lived in Kenya for two and a half years until my father realized that we did not have the educational opportunities that he wanted for us. Thus, to my great delight, we returned to America.
I continued my education at Stephen F. Austin State University in Texas where I graduated with a B.S. in Psychology, and later received a call to ministry at Andrews University. Upon finishing my degree (Master in Divinity), I received a call to pastoral ministry in Longmont, CO as an associate pastor charged with serving the youth and young adult in our community. I served in this capacity for one-and-a-half years and then got a call to serve as the lead pastor at Fort Collins Seventh-day Adventist Church and the Longmont Seventh-day Adventist Church where I currently serve.
I am married to my best friend Lydie. She serves our community by working as a school psychologist. She completed her Educational Degree Specialist (Ed.S) at Andrews University. She is my partner in ministry and I wouldn’t be the man I am today without her.
We look forward to serving in ministry wherever God leads.
